An AI Support Engineer for every open-source project
This is a short post for the holiday weekend sharing some work we’re doing with open-source projects at RunLLM. We’ll be back with a regular post next week!
As you all have probably picked up on by this point, we’re co-founders of a company called RunLLM where we’re building an AI-powered Support Engineer. We work primarily with technical product companies, build expertise in each product we support, and integrate ourselves into the support workflow for our customers. We also provide insights in themes and trends based on the conversations we have.
Coming from Berkeley, we’ve long been fans of open-source communities, and feedback from open-source communities was critical to shaping our focus on high-quality support for technical products.
Now that we’re a little further along with our business, we thought it would be a good time to give back to the open-source community. We’ve built a prototype of an open-source community edition of RunLLM that has AI Support Engineers for popular open-source projects.
It’s early, but we’d love for you to try it out and share your feedback!
We have a lot more planned, including:
advanced reasoning traces for each engineer
MCP integration so you can add RunLLM to Cursor
user memory to provide more customized answers
If you have project requests, thoughts, or feedback, please let us know. Happy July 4th!
